Chapter 2 : Luck & Determination

Brandy looked at his cards he saw that he had 2 Queens and a King of Jack of Diamonds, he wasn’t the best at Card games but he did know that the Kings, Queens, Jacks & Aces were valuable in regal Rummy and if you have any in your hand you should hold onto them. Larry didn’t have a great hand but he did have a Ace of Spades and of hearts & a Jack of hearts in fact he had a lot of cards that could give Brandy a big advantage

“keheheh looks like im gonna win again” Larry cackled while he drew a card from the pile

Only to let out a hiss of frustration as he discarded the card he JUST picked from the pile, Brandy immediately took it and discarded his seven of hearts.

“Doesn’t look like it” he said with a smug look

“Don’t get cocky you’ll be kissing my feet”

Larry look at his game in horror seeing the card he had just drawn, it was a 8 of Hearts as Brandy had JUST discarded a seven of hearts and having a Nine of hearts in his had he would of scored 3 points. He bit his lip and discarded his three of Clubs.

“Danm you Brandy”

Brandy ignored this and pull a two of diamonds he had a 2 of clubs but he hesitated what to discard but he discard to discard the same card he just pulled and seeing that it didn’t please Larry it made it all the better.

Larry decided to use his cheat skills and drew 2 cards but to the crowd it looked like he had only pulled one cus of how fast he took them, he had pulled a ten & a Jack of Clubs that put a big grin on his face as he discarded his seven of spades.

“hehehe looks like luck will be on my side boy”

Brandy snorted in frustration he needed to win not cus his jewels were at stake  but also to shut Larry up for good as he pulled a card and to his relief it was one that he needed

“Sorry Larry looks like luck is on MY side” he said as he tosses a King, Queen & Jack of diamond on the floor and discarded his Five of Clubs and pulled 3 cards cus  in rummy you always have to have 7 cards and that’s when he saw Larry had cheated

“Cheating again are we its 7 card not 8”

Larry was furious and tossed a card in frustration not looking what it was only realizing it seconds after Brandy had taken it and tosses another 3 cards in the center it being the King, Queen, & Jack of Clubs

“Keheheh was that about luck you should know cheaters never prosper Larry”

“S-Shut it I can still turn this around “

There was a ounce of doubt in his voice but he shook it off as his drew a Six of Clubs  & discarded his Jack  of diamonds , Brandy took it and discarded his two of diamonds

“Talk about intense” Aisu said

“yeah but I know Brandy will pull it off he’s 6 points ahead 4 more and he wins” Aiden said

Brandy knew this but he couldn’t let it go to his head as Larry pulled a Six of hearts and discarded his Ten of clubs letting out a grumble

“aww not the card you wanted oh boo hoo” Brandy said in a mocking tone as he pulled a King of hearts and tossed it along with the matching Queen & Jack

Larry was pulling his hair out he was losing to a newbie he was close to punching Brandy out cold & just run off with his jewels  but seeing the crowd around them he wouldn’t get away with it

 “This can’t be happening, I’m losing to someone like you a freaking goodie 2 shoes you’re a disgrace to our race”

He drew a 9 of spades and discarded his 6 of hears

“BIIIIIIGGGG mistake larrikins” Brady said as he took the card he had discarded as he tossed one by one a 4, a 5 & the 6 of hearts in the center

Larry couldn’t believe it he had lost the king of cheaters had been made a fool of in front of the whole school, he took Brandy’s jewels and the Lunch money he had stole and tossed it in his face

“You got lucky you prick”

Brandy laughed as he watched Larry kick a trash can only to end up hopping on one foot pain.

The whole crowd cheered at Brandy’s win as he put his jewels back on releasing a huge sigh of relief

“Knew you would pull it off “Aiden said

“Guess I did” Brandy said as they Brofisted as they headed back to their classroom as the bell rang
